hey there, i'm fiona
I’ve spent a large part of my professional life in procurement and policy design, where I focus on improving the procurement experience for users. While I enjoy the problem-solving aspect of my work, my interest in human behaviour and passion for visual arts led me to venture into UX design in 2022.
Currently, I am a UX Designer at ACRA, where I work with product owners to translate business objectives and user needs into intuitive and trusted digital experiences for individuals and businesses.
things i value
👩🎓 Life-long learning. I’m a passionate learner who is constantly curious and excited about how much more there is still to learn and that learning goes beyond formal education. I've dabbled in digital design, coding, psychology, acrylic painting and looking forward to what I will learn next.
👩🏽🤝👩🏻 Being a good team-player. I’ve worked as an individual contributor as well as in supervisory roles and understand how good team dynamics can contribute to a project’s success.
🧐 Seek to understand. Keeping an open mind, being curious and seeing from others’ points of view helps me remain composed and keeps me balanced.
stuff i'm
into
🎨 Anything arty and crafty. I've always loved art as a child but never got to formally study art. I've rediscovered my love for art after becoming a mum and starting making art with my kids. I'm now a self-taught acrylic painter and also a certified pastel nagomi instructor, and trying to start an art YouTube channel. Follow my art journey here!
📚 Reading books. I'm a proud book worm. While I don't have as much time to bury my head in books these days, I still try to squeeze in some reading time whenever I can. Currently reading Information Architecture by Louis Rosenfeld and Drive by Daniel Pink.
🧘♀️ Mindfulness. Something that I'm trying to do more in my life. Paying attention to the present moment, without judging our experiences or thoughts.
